The Kid in the Red Jacket

This book changed me by me realizing how harsh the world can be for some people. Because when Edward kept on getting passed on from person to person that was sad It also made me think about others more because when Edward fell off of the boat away from Abilene she felt so sad and Edward felt sad too. It also made me think about humans emotions more. When Edward wanted to take care of Sarah Ruth and protect her so Sarah Ruth would have comfort but when  Sarah Ruth left Edward he did not want her to leave. hen Sarah Ruth died Edward felt like he couldn’t protect her any more or give her comfort. So that made Edward feel sad and also a little bit lonely and he felt like he was not good enough for Sarah Ruth. So that made me feel more happy for the parents that I have that and Edward did not have when Sarah Ruth died. This book changed my heart by me feeling more sad for people who are having a rough time in their life because it was rough for Edward was forced to leave people behind people he loved. Because of that,Edward was ready to lose hope on loving and that is not was not good for Edward. Because if you are not loved you do not have any comfort. This is how this book changed me as a human by. hen Edward left Abilene she tried to get Edward back to her but since Edward was a selfish and not kind and did not know how to love so he could not love his owners. As Edward moved on he started to feel like he knew what love was and he did love. So he proved Pelegrina wrong Pelegrina is Abilene’s grandmother. This is how the book Edward Tulane by: Kate Dicamillo changed me as a human.
